Change of the "TIMES"

We know print ads are virtually paper cut out dead men walking...
Studies show 91% of buyers use the internet to search for a home.
Look where we are now, facebook, facebook mobile, we want our news now and live.
Same with listings, price changes they are live on the internet and dated by the time they
get to print.

As Realtors we still use print ads but in a different way more to promote the market, office our services and still to feature listings.

I write this today because it occured to me you may have noticed the Wednesday Showcase in the Scranton Times get alot thinner less pages. (Yes smaller too but Realtors did not have anything to do with that one!) All the area brokers got together with the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors and made a unified decision that their new endorsed paper of choice was the Scranton Edition of the Times Leader. Why? Several reasons. See next post I'm out of space!

You as the consumer no longer need to subscribe to the paper to get the Real Estate section. The new magazine is called Northeast PA Homes and many over 11,000 are receiving this with their mail now. FREE! If you'd like to receive the Real Estate section go to www.TimesLeader.com and sign up to receive it via direct mail. You can also opt to receive an email blast of all open houses every other friday.

The switch also gives sellers more online exposure for their listing. As a buyer you can go online and see all homes at www.northeastpahomes.com.
